Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all plant maintenance including utilities, and operations with a goal to reduce downtime and ensure peak plant efficiencies.
This position will have direct responsibility for the Maintenance team and their performance.
POSITION
Responsibilities:
Conducts regular inspections and ensures the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the facility.
Ensures proper working order of all electrical and mechanical units, systems, and processes in the facility.
Leads a team of maintenance technicians, prioritizes and assigns tasks as necessary Keeps record of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in the facility.
Evaluates the performance of the subordinates.
Complies with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions.
Places orders for spare parts and equipment for replacement and ascertaining the proper documentation of the same.
Synchronizes work processes with other departments of the facility.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field preferred.
Minimum five years' experience in supervision of food plant or industrial maintenance, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Must be computer literate and have experience using computer software applications such as CMMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
Must have understanding of PLC and logic controls for equipment operation.
Basic accounting knowledge required.
