Our security guards are responsible for facility access control at a manned gate as well as site security as a roving guard.
Our guards work 12 hour shifts to provide 24/7 coverage.
This position works 6pm-6am alternating weekends and weekdays.
Mon & Tues.
Sat, Sun one week, the next is Thursday & Friday the next week.
Previous security guard experience and NYS certification is preferred but not required.
HIRINING IMMEDIATELY Responsibilities include:
Using software to create security badges.
Verifying access before granting entry.
Patrol facility to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Inspect security systems to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
Test alarms to verify correct operation.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Write reports of daily activities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Monitor video surveillance.
Function as alarm call center for remote location.
Manage access cards for visitors, contractors, and employees.
A successful candidate will be comfortable working with computers and have a knowledge of basic security protocols.
You will need to demonstrate basic computer knowledge to include working with email.
Must be a self-motivated individual who can work without direct supervision.
Reliability is very important and overtime may be required to ensure adequate coverage.
